Upon successful completion of a Borehole Water Supply, our focus switches to water quality, and identifying what Water treatment systems are required to ensure the Borehole Water is ‘potable’ and suitable for use, within the specification of the Private Water Supply Regulations 2017 ( link to PWS regs).
Water quality form Borehole Water Supplies differs from region to region, and it is also very ’site specific’. Some areas have groundwater that requires very little treatment.
Typically though, in our experience, most borehole water supplies we install throughout the North of England and Southern Scotland require the installation of water treatment systems to ensure the water is kept wholesome and suitable for use.
Domestic, Agricultural and Commercial Borehole water supplies can all require installation, service and maintenance of Water treatment systems. These typically range form Ultra Violet Purification systems ( to kill bacteria), to Iron and Manganese removal, Water Softening, pH correction, Nitrates Removal and Reverse Osmosis systems.
There are also more specialist areas of water treatment such as the removal of Arsenic, which is typically only found in certain parts of the uk, that require an extremely site specific approach to the chemistry of the water in order to ensure successful treatment and removal to safe levels.
Hydroserve has extensive expertise and experience in all forms of water treatment, ranging from small domestic systems, to Dairy Farms providing treated water for 1000 dairy cows, to large scale commercial systems delivering 2000m3 of treated borehole water per day.
To this day, Hydroserve has been able to specify, design and install Water treatment solutions to each of the Water quality problems we have been presented with, enabling hundreds of customers to enjoy clean, potable water, whatever their requirements.
In short, if you require a solution to a water quality problem, Hydroserve has it.
