In 2022 Hydroserve were contacted by Tim Bibby of Middle Mearbeck Barn, Near Settle in North Yorkshire.
Tim was in the process of converting old farm buildings into 3 properties. The farm buildings were supplied from a nearby Spring, but the flow and quality were both unreliable.
Hydroserve visited and surveyed the site and properties before submitting a Quotation for installation of a Borehole Water Supply & Treatment System.
Therefore, Hydroserve’s specialist Restricted Access Drilling team was selected for the work.
Our Quotation was accepted and a couple of weeks later we arrived on site.
Surface steel casing was grouted into the rock strata and then a Borehole was drilled to 50m below ground level.
A wonderful ( and significant in volume!) supply of Groundwater was obtained and samples taken for water analysis.
The water quality was generally good. However, the water had elevated levels of Iron and Manganese ( very normal for the area). A suitable Water Treatment System
(Ecomix Media) was specified and installed, correcting the water quality within Private Water Supply Regulations specification.
Within weeks of making contact with Hydroserve, Tim Bibby had his own plentiful and wholesome supply of groundwater to each of his new properties, fully automated and flowing crystal clear to his taps!.
